The benefits of our Pilates Flow Class:

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that uses breath and movement to strengthen core muscles, improve postural alignment, and increase flexibility. In this Pilates Flow class, Libbi will guide you through a series of steady-paced movements designed to challenge and improve your Pilates practice. Your Pilates Flow instructor will offer modifications as needed and occasionally incorporate props into class for some fun variations! This class is instructed by Libbi.

The benefits of our Restorative Pilates Class:

This class is designed to improve flexibility, balance, provide easier movement and freedom in your joints, and to help restore your mind-body connection. Restorative Pilates can also be used as an aid in rehabilitation after injury or surgery. Your instructor, Toni, will guide you through various exercises and stretches in this 60-minute class. This class is suitable for all levels and is deliberately paced instruction that focuses on stretching.

There are many styles of yoga, and Yoga Flow is all about “flowing” from one posture immediately into another, guided by the breath. Postures are timed with an inhalation and exhalation in a choreographed sequence to encourage a meditative state. Yoga Flow allows you to let go of your worries and thoughts and focus on being in the present moment. Yoga Flow is for beginner, intermediate, and advanced participants. This class is instructed by Leona.

What to expect during your Wellness Class:

We offer something for everyone with our new Pilates and Yoga Wellness Classes. Our classes are for beginners, intermediate, and advanced participants. Bring your own mat or borrow one of ours! All props necessary for any modifications are provided. 


Participants are guided through various stretches and exercises throughout the hour long class. We offer Pilates Flow, Restorative Pilates, and Yoga Flow.

Leona

Yoga Instructor

Leona Sevick moved to Bridgewater in 2016 with her family and Boston Terrier. She teaches literature and works in academic administration at Bridgewater College. Leona earned her 200 hour yoga certification in May 2022 at The Center School of Yoga with Suzanne McCahill Perrine. In addition to yoga, she enjoys writing, running, lifting weights, live music, and reading. She teaches vinyasa, power yoga, and beginner yoga.

Toni Rossi-Miller, LMT, PTA has been a Master Pilates Instructor in the Valley for over 20 years. She has experience with in class instruction in a variety of settings as well as individual, one-on-one training. She specializes in restorative Pilates, integrating breath and movement with proper body mechanics to increase greater physical and mental awareness of how your body moves and feels. Toni uses her vast knowledge and history in healthcare to guide her instruction - allowing her classes to be performed by any fitness level which makes it a very rehabilitative and restorative program. Toni keeps her classes lighthearted and focuses on a fun, engaging class which welcomes newcomers!

Libbi

Pilates Instructor

Libbi moved to the 'Burg in 1993 to attend JMU and never left. She holds degrees in both dietetics and nursing and has been a registered nurse at Sentara RMH for 18 years. Libbi is passionate about health and fitness and loves to motivate others, especially those who are just starting out in their fitness journey. She is a NASM-certified personal trainer, BASI Mat Pilates instructor, and 200-hr YTT. She teaches Pilates at Sunnyside Retirement Community and RMH Wellness Center. When she isn't busy being a mom of 3 or working, she enjoys making jewelry, hiking, and ballroom dancing. She has participated in seven out of ten seasons of Dancing with the Stars in the 'Burg as a USA Dance partner. Libbi truly believes in the philosophy that movement heals and is excited to bring a fun and challenging class to Bridgewater Massage & Wellness!
